5 Diagrams and Charts of the E-Reader

5.1 Introduction

Diagrams and Charts are very efficient way of expressing ideas to the outside world, certainly

picture and diagrams say more than a bunch of pages. The previous- and this-section of the

report focuses on the system engineering aspect of the project. Several diagrams and charts

showing most of the modules and their interactions with the user can be seen in Appendix B.

Below, two different diagrams that explicitly portray the implemented feature, search for a

word within a document including the block diagram of the whole system is presented.

5.2 Sequence Diagram

A sequence diagram shows the interaction between modules in a system along a given time

line. For a given task the diagram will show the information flow and the necessary feedbacks

in real time. The sequence diagram below, figure 5.1, shows a case where the user is

searching for a word in an open document in the E-Book-Reader.
