8.2 Further Development

Systems and programs are not carved on stone and this one is not an exception. The system

design and block diagram of the E-Book-Reader is very robust and multifunctional, but the

current implementation is very limited. Currently, only menu navigation, turning pages, jump

to a desired page, and searching for a word in the document has been implemented. Features,

that are yet to be implemented but are part of the system design includes the incorporation of

an embedded database into the E-Reader. Another interesting feature is the biometrics

security measures that should prevent an unauthorized user from accessing the data and

information stored in the device. Various system designs, including the ones in the Appendix

B are yet to be implemented. Complete implementation of these features will make the E-

Book not only a reading device but also a mobile database.
